Georgetown University is a private research university based in Washington, D.C. With around 7,000 undergraduate and over 8,000 post-graduate students of various religious, ethnic, and geographic backgrounds, Georgetown University is ranked 22 among all national universities by U.S. News according to data of the year 2012. Founded in 1789, Georgetown University is the oldest Jesuit and Catholic university in the United States, which has a 104-acre campus. The main campus of this university, formed by the undergraduate campus and Medical Center, is located in Washington’s Georgetown neighborhood. The university also has a law center on Capitol Hill and auxiliary campuses in Italy, Turkey, and Qatar.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Applicants for the university are required to provide either their SAT or ACT scores before January 10 and admission interview is required. Applications must be submitted before January 10 and the application fee is USD 65. Working and volunteering experiences usually give applicants extra advantages.
COSTS AND FINANCIAL AID
The tuition and fees for year 2011-2012 are USD 41,393 and the room and board fee is USD 13,260. Students averagely spend USD 1,200 on books and supplies.
